Watch Canada’s best in table tennis compete for international title, live-streamed by viaSport
Select coverage of 2014 Double Fish North America Cup & Canada Open available online Wednesday and Thursday
Vancouver, BC – viaSport is thrilled to partner with BC Table Tennis Association, Table Tennis Canada and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) to live-stream select components of the 2014 Double Fish ITTF North America Cup and Canada Open Semi-Finals and Finals, an event running this week from June 25 through June 29 at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia.
A portion of this week’s event will be live-streamed and available to watch online, powered by viaSport Productions:
What: Select coverage of the 2014 Double Fish ITTF North America Cup and Canada Open
When: Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 from 8:00 pm to approx. 11:00 pm PST
Supported in part by Burnaby Tourism and the Hosting BC grant program, this event will bring top-tier players from the Canadian National team, Bermuda, USA, China, Croatia, Germany and other countries around the world to Burnaby to vie for continental and international titles. Both tournaments offer a great opportunity for the Canadian National Table Tennis Team to prepare for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, 2015 PanAm Games in Toronto, Ontario and the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Since 2011, Canada has held the title for the men’s singles event in the North America Cup. Tune in this Thursday to cheer on your favourite team as they battle it out against some of the best amateur athletes in the world.
