BCBSA Announces New Provincial Skeleton Coach

BCBSA would like to welcome Rob Derman as the new Provincial Skeleton Coach for the BC Program. Derman will be filling the role previously held by Ivo Pakalns who has recently accepted a role as the National Team Coach with Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton.
Derman comes from an experienced Skeleton background as a retired National Team Skeleton athlete and has begun with coaching on a part time basis for the past three years with Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. He is current a student on Kinesiology to further his sport-specific knowledge. He has also completed his NCCP Competition Development modules.
Derman will be leading the BC Skeleton Athletes in the High Performance Program and will be supported by a Skeleton Development Coach who is yet to be determined.
