Four-time Paralympian Elisabeth Walker-Young joins viaSport team

viaSport is excited to announce that four-time Paralympic swimmer and sport advocate Elisabeth Walker-Young has joined the Sport Development team in the role of Project Specialist.

Elisabeth will be working closely with the team to support projects in the areas of inclusion, accessibility, coaching, officiating and physical literacy. 

A retired Paralympian, Walker-Young competed at four Paralympic Games and won six medals for Canada (three gold, one silver and two bronze). She also has a vast array of experience in sport from provincial to international levels, including roles in the Ontario and British Columbia sport sectors and with VANOC as host of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition to advocating on a number of task forces and committees, Elisabeth led Team Canada as Assistant Chef de Mission in the London 2012 Paralympic Games and was named as Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the TORONTO 2015 Parapan Am Games.
