New NCCP module Coaching Athletes with a Disability launches Sept. 21!

Coaching athletes with a disability module promotional posterTo ensure that all athletes experience a positive, safe, and inclusive sport experience, the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) has developed the National Coaching Certification Program’s (NCCP) Coaching Athletes with a Disability eLearning module, which is a excellent module to diversify your coaching portfolio. An excellent module to diversify your coaching portfolio, Coaching Athletes with a Disability provides coaches with the knowledge to deliver quality, positive sport experiences for athletes with behaviour, intellectual, physical and sensory disabilites. Additionally, coaches already working with athletes with a disability will find useful information and resources in the online modeule. 

Coaching Athletes with a Disability NCCP training will provide coaches the ability to:

  • Explain the benefits of sport participation for persons with a disability
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with, and regards to, persons with a disability
  • Design positive, safe, and inclusive sport experiences for persons with a disability
  • Consider next steps in their professional development related to coaching persons with a disability

To celebrate Canada’s 150th, Coaching Athletes with a Disability NCCP training is available for FREE throughout 2017! As of January 1st, 2018 the training will cost $15.
