SportScape 2023: Safe Sport Summit
Attention to all sport leaders: join us on October 20th for an opportunity to come together and collaborate on ways to improve the sport sector at the SportScape 2023: Safe Sport Summit.
SportScape 2023 is an opportunity for sport leaders from all viaSport Accredited, Recognized, and Affiliated sport organizations to discuss safety in sport. We invite Executive Directors, CEOs, staff responsible for implementing dispute resolution and/or safety policies, and/or board members to join us for an interactive day to advance an independent solution for complaints in BC. With special guests include the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, The Honourable Lana Popham.
Women’s History Month
October is Women’s History Month. It’s a month to honour and share stories of incredible and resilient women who have shaped the way for increased inclusivity, accessibility, and visibility in sport for women across Canada.

Sport on the Move Grant
Calling all schools and student-athletes! The Sport on the Move grant is open from October 2nd to November 17th.
The Province of British Columbia, through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, is a proud supporter of amateur sport across the province. viaSport is pleased to be able to administer this grant to BC high schools to contribute to participation in high school championships.

Sport Canada Research Initiative Conference
Join Sport Information Resource Centre for their 17th annual Sport Canada Research Initiative conference happening on October 26 and 27 in Ottawa, Ontario, with a virtual participation option on Zoom.
The theme for this year’s conference is centered around “Making Sport Better Together.” At the conference, attendees can collaborate to advance sport participation in Canada.
The conference format fosters collaboration and engagement thorough keynote presentations, interactive discussions, hands-on networking events, and more.
