Erin Embley

Biography
Erin has a strong record of leading successful corporate, strategic and operational plans and complex projects in land use, municipal, service and capital planning. She has strong experience in corporate, strategic and operational planning as a Regional Planner with Metro Vancouver, an Environmental Planning Instructor at Langara College and Manager Strategic Initiatives with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, she is currently the Director of Environment and Parks for the City of Port Moody.
Erin also has a deep understanding of the importance of good governance, clear processes and effective decision‐making. In 2023, Erin was awarded the inaugural Daisy Chin Park Board Woman of Inspiration Award for leadership. Erin holds a B.Sc. in Natural Resources Conservation and M. Sc. In Community and Regional Planning from UBC. Erin is a lifelong recreational sport participant and volunteered for many years as a youth soccer coach for her two daughters. Erin is pleased to contribute to viaSport’s board to support safe, inclusive and equitable access to sport for all.
