Margo Smith-Kavanagh (She/Her/Hers)

Although originally from Montreal, Vancouver has been my home now for 19 years.  I graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Communications and a Master of Science Administration and worked in the fields of Marketing, Research, and Consumer Packaged Goods for 16 years.  I transitioned to amateur sport to find greater work life balance and support the goals of increasing youth participation, retention, and wellness.

I enjoy playing golf, tennis, pickleball, and Nordic skiing, and am happiest when hiking or on a back-country camping trip with my husband and adult daughters.  My backpack will always contain a novel for downtime.  I volunteer weekly as a tutor with ONE TO ONE children’s literacy program to help children develop their reading skills and foster a love of books.
