Odlum Brown supports the Team Up with Sport Fund’s Indigenous Youth Sport Program

April 24, 2025, Vancouver – Odlum Brown has partnered with viaSport to support the Indigenous Youth Sport Program, an empowerment program that supports Indigenous high-performance athletes to reach their full potential by reducing financial barriers.
The Indigenous Youth Sport Program is part of the Team Up with Sport Fund. The Team Up with Sport Fund supports community sport programs that create inclusive environments and strengthen communities. The benefits of sport are undeniable: happier, healthier people, and better-connected communities. Inclusive sport environments break down barriers and provide opportunities to empower equity-deserving groups allowing everyone to participate and thrive.

“At the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship, I formed deep and lasting friendships with teammates and competitors, bridging gaps between diverse Indigenous cultures through our shared love of the sport,” said Caelen Cross. “The funding made this experience possible, allowing us to connect on and off the ice, celebrate our heritage, and build a supportive community that extends beyond the rink.”

The Team Up with Sport Fund includes four programs: the Indigenous Youth Sport Program relieves financial burdens for Indigenous athletes on national or provincial teams; the Impact Together Program is a partnership program designed to build lasting, inclusive sport opportunities for marginalized groups; the All Youth Matter Program trains leaders to create a sport culture where every young person feels valued and included, and; the LeadForward Program which empowers girls and women by unlocking their leadership potential in sport.
