60 Minute Kids’ Club Joins Sport for Life Society

Victoria BC – The Sport for Life Society is excited to welcome 60 Minutes Kids’ Club into its organization. The Sport for Life Society is recognized as the international experts on the Sport for Life movement, Long-Term Athlete Development, and physical literacy development. 60 Minute Kids’ Club has helped more than 78,000 elementary students from over 400 schools across Canada learn healthy habits over the past six years.
The 60 Minute Kids’ Club products and services will now be part of Sport for Life’s suite of physical literacy products, and will provide more kids in more schools and communities the opportunity to use the Healthy Habits Tracker and Fundamental Movement Skills Assessment Tool. Sport for Life and 60 Minutes Kids’ Club decided to join forces since their goals align strongly around creating user-friendly entry points and pathways to physical literacy supporting many of the provincial, national and international opportunities around physical literacy development.
Sport for Life is the leader in Canada in the physical literacy movement, and provides tools, assessment, expertise and resources to the health, recreation, education and sport sectors to develop quality sport and physical literacy programs. 60 Minute Kids’ Club offers the Fundamental Movement Skills Assessment Tool and Healthy Habits Tracker primarily to schools.
Matt Young, co-founder of 60 Minutes Kids’ Club and founder of Innovative Fitness Inc., Healthmet Technologies, and the Healthy Community Challenge, has been appointed Director of Business Development at Sport for Life Society. “60 Minutes Kids’ Club is thrilled to work with Sport for Life’s passionate, knowledgeable team as we work to create physically literate communities across the country,” stated Young.
