I grew up in the Okanagan, playing most sports until focusing on basketball where I played on the provincial team before playing varsity at university. I continued with a sport path as a community coach that eventually took me from community gyms to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and even to the Dominican Republic, where I supported volleyball development for nations across the Americas.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked within provincial, national, and international sport systems, gaining a full view of how athletes, coaches, officials, and organizations move through Canada’s sport pathway. I’m deeply committed to advancing safe, inclusive, and equitable sport environments, and in 2023, I was honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Award for contributions in this area.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me in a gym in Richmond coaching girls’ volleyball and basketball with my daughters and our neighbours.
