Mark Faubert

Mark Faubert is a veteran executive with over 40 years of leadership in the resort, hospitality, and sports sector. He has a deep understanding of recreational facility dynamics and community sports engagement. Mark’s career started in the ski industry working as a senior executive in some of the best-in-class resorts in western Canada. In 2001 he was recruited to join Canlan Ice Sports as he took on a number of senior roles and in 2016 he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer overseeing the company’s expansive North American operations which comprised 21 facilities and approximately 83 surfaces across Canada and the U.S.

Mark’s career is a testament to his dedication to the sports and hospitality industries—blending strategic vision, operational know how, and a genuine passion for community recreation. Mark retired in 2023 and now volunteers allowing him to give back to his passions in sport and to his community. Mark is an avid skier and competed in Triathlon for over 20 years.
