Ryan Gurney

I have a background rooted in coaching and communications, and my work focuses on supporting programs and resources that strengthen sport culture and helps create welcoming, respectful environments for participants across British Columbia. I’m motivated by problem‑solving and by ensuring the sport community has access to clear, timely, and reliable information.

Growing up, I participated in a variety of sports including lacrosse, hockey, swimming, soccer, and golf. These experiences shaped my appreciation for both individual development and team environments, and continue to influence how I approach my work today. Having experience in both on‑field and behind‑the‑scenes roles, I value clear communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building as essential to strong sport communities. I live on the North Shore and enjoy spending time outdoors biking, golfing, and exploring local trails.
