Jun 17, 2026

June 17, 2026, Vancouver – viaSport is pleased to announce a new partnership with Vantage Point, a leading provider of high-quality training, resources, and advocacy that builds connection, creativity, and impact for British Columbia’s non-profit sector. Through viaSport’s shared services program, Vantage Point will deliver practical training and capacity-building support to more than 70 viaSport Designated Sport Organizations across the province.

This partnership aims to foster a more inclusive sport system where viaSport Designated Sport Organizations can achieve their fullest potential and drive sustainable change. Through access to Vantage Point’s services, these organizations will benefit from targeted training, consulting, and sector resources to strengthen governance, enhance leadership and staff capacity, and improve strategic planning and operations. viaSport Designated Sport Organizations will be better positioned to grow sustainably, elevate program delivery, and serve more participants in communities across British Columbia.

“Vantage Point exists to strengthen BC’s non-profit sector, and amateur sport is one of the most community-connected parts of that sector. Sport organizations across BC are navigating real pressures — from governance complexity to leadership transitions to the ongoing challenge of doing more with less — and the communities they serve are counting on them to deliver safe, inclusive, and well-governed sport,” said Gretchen Ferguson, Director, Education and Consulting Programs. “Partnering with viaSport gives us the opportunity to meet those organizations where they are and bring practical, tailored support that helps them build lasting strength. We’re proud to be viaSport’s capacity-building partner of choice, and we look forward to deepening our work together in support of amateur sport across BC.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Vantage Point as the capacity-building partner of choice for our Designated Sport Organizations. The BC Amateur Sport System is only as strong as the organizations that deliver it. Through this partnership, BC’s Designated Sport Organizations get preferred access to Vantage Point’s capacity-building expertise — governance, leadership, organizational development — tailored to the realities of sport,” said Jared Kope, Revenue Development Director, viaSport BC.

viaSport continues to expand its shared services network to strengthen the amateur sport sector in British Columbia, while ensuring Designated Sport Organizations have the tools and support needed to grow and deliver programs to more British Columbians.
