Designated Sport Organizations 2024/25

viaSport collaborates with many amateur sport organizations to elevate and expand the reach of amateur sport, with the goal of creating greater impact. As the lead agency, viaSport stewards the Government’s investment in amateur sport by setting standards, providing resources and monitoring compliance.

Through this process, viaSport has established the viaSport Designation Program that includes three levels of designation designed to celebrate organizations based on their achievement of established standards, outlined in the  viaSport Designation Program Policy.

This program exclusively applies to Provincial Sport Organizations, Disability Sport Organizations and Multi-Sport Organizations. Local sport organizations and clubs are ineligible for these designations.

Provincial, Disability and Multi-Sport Organizations with Accredited designations are eligible to receive annual funding from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, administered through the viaSport Designation Program.
