What is PlaySafe
PlaySafe is an online hub to help you and your members foster positive and safe experiences in sport and recreation. PlaySafe aims to contribute to the evolution of positive culture within the sport community and provides tools to help you foster positive, safe, and fun experiences.
PlaySafe – a safe participation education hub
PlaySafeBC.ca has free resources and education for anyone who is involved in sport and recreation. It explains what safe participation means, and teaches people how they can foster healthy, safe, and fun experiences for themselves and others.
Role of sport and recreation organizations – Promote Safe Participation
PlaySafe has been developed with the purpose to “meet people where they are” in their sport and recreation journey and raise awareness and understanding about safe participation.
Sport organizations can help promote PlaySafe resources to their members, this way we all share consistent messaging on a sport-neutral platform and alleviate the need for each organization to develop their own resources.
Any sport and recreation organization can share the PlaySafe website, follow and reshare PlaySafe social media, and encourage people to take the free online training course.
Organizations can also add a link to PlaySafe on their websites, and join the newsletter list for regular updates and news.
