Could you use an extra hand this summer?
Canada Summer Jobs, created by Service Canada, provides funding to non-profit organizations to offer summer job opportunities for students. In addition to creating valuable work experience, the funding assists community needs and supports organizations that provide important services.
Eligible applicants are invited to apply for funding of up to $300,000 per employer. The application for Canada Summer Jobs is open from January 4, 2016 to February 26, 2016.
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Not-for-profit employers
- Public sector employers
- Private sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees
NON-PROFIT FUNDING DETAILS
- Not-for-profit employers are eligible for up to 100% of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage.
- Not-for-profit employers are eligible for reimbursement of Mandatary Employment Related Costs for up to 100% of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage.
- Employers are eligible for additional funding for up to $3,000 for student with disabilities.
