In his previous roles, he has been the catalyst for organizational strategic renewal, strengthened performance and brought a particular focus on safety,” said Geoffrey Wong, viaSport Board Chair. “Over the past several years, viaSport has been instrumental in supporting the sector and positioning itself as a recognized leader in sport both provincially and nationally.”

“At a time when the benefits of sport and recreation are needed more than ever, I feel privileged to be given an opportunity to play a part in bringing inclusive, safe, and impactful sport experiences to more British Columbians,” said Andrew. “I believe deeply in the power of sport and its unique ability to build confidence and help increase health and well-being. I look forward to joining viaSport and to working with sport partners and stakeholders to sustain a vibrant and inclusive sporting community that is of service to all British Columbians no matter where they call home.”

Andrew Price will begin his new role and join viaSport’s leadership team starting February 3, 2025, ensuring continuity, progress and effective communication between staff, the sector, government and the Board of Directors.
