VIDEO ARCHIVES: Dylan Armstrong’s Medal Ceremony

Feb 16, 2015

Yesterday afternoon, family, friends and fans gathered at the Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops to watch Dylan Armstrong receive a bronze medal for his outstanding performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee and International Olympic Committee, viaSport TV live-streamed the ceremony so Dylan’s fans could watch from across the country and world.

Six years ago, Dylan threw an incredible 21.04m shot put throw, but was one centimetre away from receiving the bronze title. Two years ago his third place opponent was stripped of the medal for doping charges, elevating Dylan to the podium.

Yesterday, Dylan stood on stage while a number of dignitaries congratulated him for the well earned title and presented him with the medal he fought so hard for years ago. Congratulations Dylan!
