viaSport’s role in coach education
Our role in coach education is to provide clear pathway and learning opportunities for aspiring coaches in BC by:
- Delivering multi-sport education (Home study, facilitated courses and e-learning) programs in our role as the provincial representative for multi-sport coaching
- Partnering with external and designated organizations to reduce barriers to education and develop coach capacity
- Evaluating designated organizations on their capacity to deliver the nationally set sport – specific standard for their sport
- Validating external Sport Credentials for BC’s External Sport Credentials Coaches (gov Program)
