Chefs de Mission announced for 2017 Canada Summer Games

The 2017 Canada Summer Games are less than 18 months away! It is sure to be the “Hottest Summer in Half a Century” as the best athletes in the country meet in Winnipeg to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games as well as Canada’s 150th Birthday.
The Chefs de Mission for Team BC have now been announced.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced people to serve as volunteer Mission Staff for Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, July 28 to August 13, 2017.
Being part of Team BC and attending the Canada Games is a memorable and life changing event and as a Mission Staff member you will play an enormous role in providing the athletes, coaches, and managers with the best environment for optimal performances and an exceptional experience. See the attachment for all the benefits you and your employer can expect.
Team BC is seeking individuals who possess strong communication and administration skills; thorough knowledge of BC’s amateur sport system; interest in and enthusiasm for working in a fast paced multi-sport environment; ability to operate independently and in a team atmosphere; ability to perform functions and duties outside of your assignment; strong interpersonal skills and an ability to provide excellent service to the assigned sports. As well, the ideal candidate will have extensive and varied experience as a volunteer, athlete, or coach at a multi-sport Games and demonstrate a strong commitment to the Games movement.
