International Women’s Day 2024

March 8 is International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The inception of International Women’s Day began with women across the globe protesting for the right to work, vote, hold positions of power, and end discrimination. Today, this event acts as a celebration and marks a call to action to further the advancement of gender equity.
Every year there is a unique theme that supports the conversation and call to action towards gender equity. viaSport has used this theme to help inform and inspire activations within our sport community.
This year, the global theme is #InspireInclusion. The theme centers around inspiring others to understand and value women’s inclusion and create a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Leading up to March 8, we will #InspireInclusion by raising awareness of the importance of gender equity on boards and amplifying the voices of incredible women in the sport community.
