“Play viaSport” campaign encourages all British Columbians to try a new sport
New initiative launched to celebrate RBC Sports Day in Canada on November 30

Vancouver, BC – In conjunction with RBC Sports Day in Canada, viaSport is inviting every British Columbian to explore the multitude of sport-related opportunities offered year-round through the Play viaSport campaign and the launch of a new, online sport resource.

In partnership with over 60 provincial sport organizations who deliver sport across B.C., Play viaSport was introduced as a lead-up to Sports Day in Canada, celebrated nation-wide on November 30, 2013, to help promote the power of sport in our communities and the benefits of maintaining healthy, active lifestyles.

“One of our roles at viaSport is to help inspire a connection to sport for every British Columbian, no matter their age, skill level or where they call home,” says Amanda Brkich, viaSport communications manager. “We designed the Play viaSport campaign and online tool as a means for citizens to more easily find the resources they need to get started in any sport with the simple click of a button.”

There is no shortage of opportunities to play sport in British Columbia. To find out more, visit www.viasport.ca, click the PRESS PLAY button and follow these three easy steps:
