Last night, 2000 youth delegates as well as chaperones, presenters, and guests were present at the 2015 Gathering Our Voices conference, hosted by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) in Victoria, BC. As part of the ceremony, 12 outstanding Aboriginal athletes were honoured by Premier Christy Clark as recipients of the Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport. viaSport Media was at the event to capture the Ceremony live for family, friends, and communities across BC that weren’t able to attend.
