Geoffrey Wong

Geoff Wong is a Victoria-based strategic alliances expert with a lifelong passion for Canadian sport. His experience in event marketing, sponsorship and athlete representation was honed working with Canadian leaders in the field, including Christopher Lang and Associates and the Landmark Group. Geoff developed and implemented partnerships and strategic alliance strategies for major corporations, including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, ICBC, Coca-Cola, Manulife Financial and more.

Geoff’s interest in governance probably began when he served as student body president in high school. He has since taken a keen interest in the need for good governance at all levels of sport and business. Having completed the Directors Education Program at the Institute for Corporate Directors, Geoff serves on the board of Hockey Canada in addition to his role with viaSport. His business interests include property development and custom house construction, and when not engaged in these pursuits he can be found on his mountain bike, on the ski hill and generally enjoying the best of what the West Coast has to offer.
